Equitrekking Debuts New Season on Public Television and Companion Book

Washington, DC- September 2, 2008– Equitrekking®, the first travel television series to explore the world on horseback, is excited to announce its new season of high definition episodes on Public Television and new companion book Equitrekking Travel Adventures on Horseback, published by Chronicle Books.

Equitrekking’s third season takes viewers horseback riding in extreme destinations including snowy Quebec, along the border of Arizona and Mexico and deep into the jungle in Belize. Equestrian travel expert Darley Newman, author of the new book Equitrekking Travel Adventures on Horseback, published by Chronicle Books, hosts the high definition series. Episodes in the new, third season include Costa Rica, Kentucky, Arizona, Belize, Texas, Southern Quebec and Utah.

“Over the past few months, I was romping through the snow in Quebec one week and then jumping into waterfalls in the humid jungles of Belize the next,” said host and producer Darley Newman. “It was quite an adventure. I can’t wait for viewers to see the amazing horses that we rode in Costa Rica, Utah and beyond and be able to experience the adventures from Ireland, Iceland, Hawaii and other exotic locales in our new companion book.”

The Equitrekking: Travel Adventures on Horseback companion book to the American Public Television series is released this month. It features dozens of scenic rides and beautiful horses in the United States and around the globe. Chip Ward’s stunning photographs are paired with Darley Newman's colorful travelogue.

Viewers may check their local PBS listings for Equitrekking’s dates and times. For more information on equestrian travel and to watch video promos visit http://www.equitrekking.com.
