EQUUS Equestrian Idol - Hillary Dobbs to Put On Winning Show For Second Year

Rivalry begins among the performers and equestrians on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the EQUUS Equestrian Idol, where Grand Prix veterans and contestants including Hillary Dobbs, who will fly from Harvard in Cambridge, MA to her parent's Lou Dobbs and Debi's in Palm Beach for her second year performing in the fun showcase! Between battling the flu, getting finals done, winning a couple of classes and travelling, Hillary hand't decided what she'd sing....but knowing this go getter, it will be a fantastic show!

Guests and participants will be able to peruse many silent auction items donated by generous individuals and organizations, including a number of vendors at the Winter Equestrian Festival. Two new performers, Dianna Bricker and Jen White Kane, will battle it out with returning performers, including Ms. Dobbs, Heather Caristo, Patricia Griffith, Casey Hodges, Brian Lookabill, and Chad Watridge at the EQUUS Equestrian Idol Musical Talent Show this Friday, February 6, 2009.

Ki-Juan Minors, the 2008 Idol and Taylor Blauweiss, the 2007 Idol, will open the fun-filled evening to raise funds for The EQUUS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity established to raise public awareness of the valuable role horses play in our everyday lives. In addition to the honor of reigning as the 2009 winner, the 2009 Idol will perform at a Sunday polo match at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Barton & Gray Mariners Club is donating a three-hour cruise along the Inter-Coastal Waterway for six. The fully captained luxury 37-foot Hinckley Picnic Boat will depart from its berth at the Palm Beach Yacht Club, or the winner can arrange a cruise at one of the other Barton & Gray Mariners Club locations in Nantucket, Newport, Greenwich, and Naples.

Philip Levine of Companion Dogs is donating a one-day intensive training session. Philip, with his dogs, Esther (pictured) and Ida, uses innovative techniques to train your dog based on the dog's natural social instincts.

Martha W. Jolicoeur P.A. Illustrated Properties is donating a PJ Saddle by Delgrange valued at $3,950. Priceless USET horse apparel worn by some of the greatest horses to represent the United States will be open to bidding.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show is offering an exclusive hospitality package that includes four VIP Tent wristband passes for its 2009 show, Tuesday-Sunday, August 25-30, 2009, (six days including Sunday's Grand Prix). Individual VIP Tickets are not available for sale. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid for a VIP Table at WCHR Hunter Classic on February 14th and a "Gold Lane" for the American Hunter-Jumper Foundation Bowling Event on Sunday, February 15th.
