Polo Ralph Lauren Party Kicks Off 2005-2006 Equus Foundation Fundraising Campaign

Westport, CT-October 5, 2005 – Polo Ralph Lauren New Canaan store General Manager Julie Lott and Lynn Coakley, President, The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., welcomed more than 75 guests from Fairfield and Westchester counties to an evening of private shopping on Saturday, October 1, 2005, to benefit The EQUUS Foundation and kickoff the EQUUS 2005-2006 fundraising campaign. Guests enjoyed wine, hors d’oeuvres and an evening of shopping in the luxurious boutique.

Polo Ralph Lauren is an event sponsor for two EQUUS special events – the EQUUS Benefit Luncheon held in conjunction with the Fairfield County June Benefit Horse Show Grand Prix in Westport, Connecticut, and the Fete Cheval Florida held during the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Coakley, said, “We are so pleased that Ralph Lauren supports The EQUUS Foundation not only at their national corporate level but also at their stores in New Canaan, Connecticut, and Palm Beach, Florida. We are looking forward to Ralph Lauren’s involvement with our next event, the 2006 Fete Cheval Florida will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006, in Wellington.”

Green Chimneys Children’s Services & School, Brewster, NY: Treatment & schooling of emotionally troubled at risk youth in New York & Connecticut through its Therapeutic Riding Program and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy Program.

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, Inc., Stamford, CT: Therapeutic horseback riding for individuals of all ages with physical, mental & emotional disabilities in eight barns in Connecticut & New York.

R. W. Mutch Foundation, Inc., Saddle River, NJ & Wellington, FL: Scholarships to recipients who best reflect the personal qualities & horsemanship abilities of the late Ronnie Mutch.

United States Equestrian Federation Emerson Burr Horsemanship Awards Program, Lexington, KY: To promote & perpetuate good horsemanship in young equestrians.

United States Equestrian Team Foundation, Inc., Gladstone, NJ: Support for the competition, training, coaching, travel & educational needs of America’s elite & developing International High Performance horses & athletes.

We Will Ride Therapeutic Riding, Inc. , Cross River, NY: Therapeutic horseback riding & other equine-related activities in the Connecticut/New York area to people with disabilities.
