Fantasy Steeplechase Game Now Taking Entries

Baseball isn’t the only sport with fan participation, as the newspaper Steeplechase/Eventing Times recently opened entries to its sixth annual fantasy stable game.
The Hoffberger Insurance Pick Six contest lets readers feel what it’s like to own a steeplechase stable, and offers $2,000 in total prizes based on earnings by the “stables” during the 2006 National Steeplechase Association season. Participants choose six horses and a stable name, and then get to watch with interest all year as the earnings (hopefully) increase. There are horses on various lists to choose from, but if you have a personal favorite that’s not on the list feel free to add them to your stable.
Anyone can play -- from steeplechase newcomer to experienced fan. To enter online, log on to
http://www.st-publishing.com/events/pick_five.php and follow the instructions. Entries close April 15.
