Equestrian Aid Foundation’s Divas Las Vegas Features Star-Studded Lineup of Entertainment

Las Vegas, NV– January 29, 2007 – During the Rolex FEI World Cup Jumping and Dressage Finals, the Equestrian Aid Foundation will host one of the biggest parties to hit the land of Las Vegas. Divas Las Vegas, an all out concert/celebrity dance party, will feature live performances from some of the most renowned divas in musical history. The Equestrian Aid Foundation is a non-profit organization that financially assists members of the equestrian industry who are suffering from life threatening illnesses or catastrophic injuries. Divas Las Vegas will be held on April 20, 2007, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, with doors opening at 9:30 p.m.

Divas Las Vegas guests will enjoy a live performance from soulful Deborah Cox, who has established a strong following with her pop, R&B and dance music hits. With such albums as One Wish and The Morning After, Cox has amassed three Canadian Juno awards, was nominated for “Best New Artist” at the American Music Awards in 1997 and was the recipient of a Soul Train Music Award, a Lady of Soul Award and an Essence Award nomination. This diva and her popular tracks, such as “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” “Up and Down” and “Like I Did,” will definitely have guests grooving on the dance floor.

Taylor Dayne will bring her dynamic talent to Divas Las Vegas as well. With such standout hits as “Tell It to My Heart,” “With Every Beat of My Heart” and “Don’t Rush Me,” Dayne has topped the charts as a leading pop, dance and rock artist. Her career includes one gold and two platinum albums, and she also spent some time behind the camera with the movie Fools Paradise and the HBO film Stag. She also guest starred in the Showtime series Rude Awakenings and made her Broadway debut in the Elton John/Tim Rice, Tony award-winning musical Aida. Her albums include Tell It To My Heart, Can’t Fight Fate, Naked Without You and Soul Dancing.

Martha Wash, who was the powerhouse vocalist behind C+C Music Factory’s classic “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” is another star who will be a tough act to follow at the EAF concert and celebrity dance party. Wash was a member of the band Two Tons of Fun in the 80s and proudly became part of the band the Weather Girls and scored a Grammy Nomination for a song that was destined to become a renowned classic: “It’s Raining Men.” In the 90s, Wash helped the group Black Box with her vocal performances in “Everybody, Everybody,” “Strike It Up” and “I Don’t Know Anybody Else,” and in 1993, she produced three number one dance singles that included “Carry On,” “Give It To You” and “Runaround.” She will definitely get everybody sweating as she performs her live dance beats.

What would a diva party be without Dreamgirl Jennifer Holliday? With one of the biggest and most powerful soul voices of the last quarter century, Jennifer Holliday reached stardom with her performance of “And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going” when she had a role in the musical Dreamgirls. With such albums as Feel My Soul, Feel My Love, Say You Love Me, Get Close To My Love and the club hit “No Frills Love,” Holliday continues to treat audiences with her powerful voice and inspiring stage presence.

In addition to these leading ladies, cover songs will be performed by the band Clockwork, a house band at the world-famous Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in the Fontana Bar. The Southern California group is known for its dynamic chemistry, approachable ease and superb musicianship. Clockwork plays just about every genre of music, but classic rock is their specialty.

For all the divas out there, don’t miss the opportunity to hear “It’s Raining Men” live while being surrounded by some of Hollywood’s most eclectic celebrities. Presented by Offield Farm and Rivers Edge, with entertainment graciously sponsored by Zada Enterprises, LLC, Divas Las Vegas will have guests dancing the night away while celebrating divas both in and out of the horse show industry and supporting a great cause.
