The FEI World Cup competition at Wellington, a highlight of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival, is one of the last opportunities riders in the U.S. East Coast League, including some from Canada and other nations, have to qualify for the Final to be held in Las Vegas April 15-19. This will be third time that the jumping and dressage World Cups have been staged together in Las Vegas.

The U.S. East Coast League is allocated seven places in the Final.

Olympic double gold medal winner McLain Ward of Brewster, N.Y. is atop the East Coast League standings. Several top riders will be seeking to earn enough points in Saturday's competition to assure their place at the Finals or move up the standings enough to improve their chances with only one other FEI World Cup competition remaining in the East Coast League after Saturday.
