South Hamilton, Massachusetts, February 27, 2007-New England's premier equestrian sporting event, the Jumper Classic, is pleased to announce that its Title Sponsor of seven years, Fidelity Investments, will offer $75,000 in prize money at the eighteenth annual Grand Prix show jumping competition.
Held on the grounds of the Schooling Fields at the historic Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, this internationally recognized horse show engages spectators unlike any other equestrian venue, giving New Englanders the opportunity to experience first hand the exciting sport of show jumping.
The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic Grand Prix attracts top riders and horses from all over the United States, Canada, Europe and South America, including past and future Olympians. The skill, timing, and athleticism required to compete at this level is exhilarating to watch, as riders gallop their horses at top speeds and carefully maneuver them to jump over a course of obstacles of over five feet in height and width.
The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic is a social event that attracts equestrians and non-equestrians alike, whether they enjoy an exquisite VIP Champagne Luncheon ringside, or picnic in the grandstands. What: Now in its eighteenth year, The Jumper Classic is the only AGA sanctioned Grand Prix to take place in New England. The show caters exclusively to jumper riders offering a chance to compete for over $200,000 in prize money culminating with the $75,000 Fidelity Investments AGA Grand Prix and the $10,000 Mohegan Sun Speed Stake on Sunday, September, 9th.

The Jumper Classic has become the premier equestrian and social event on the North Shore of Boston. It hosts some of the most successful equestrians in the world, including past Olympians. Riders with high hopes for the future have the opportunity to compete in the many amateur divisions offered throughout the week. The Masters Division makes The Jumper Classic is a destination show for riders of all ages, from all over the country. The social scene is always a favorite at this unique venue. Boston Common Magazine will once again sponsor the VIP-Kick Off Party at Misselwood, Endicott College's ocean-side venue with over five hundred attendees expected.
Family Day will be held on Saturday, September 8th. Come and meet Miss. Massachusetts USA and Ms. Teen Massachusetts USA, will be taking pictures with the kids and signing autographs. Family Day will also host a number of events sure to entertain children of all ages. They will be able to get their faces painted, visit with the Polar Beverage Bear and receive free Polar beverages, while the famous bear demonstrates some of his juggling. They will enjoy potato sack races, an egg toss or they can enter in a cupcake-decorating contest sponsored by EuroStoves, all while watching some of the country's top horses and riders compete. Children under 13 will be free on this day; all other children will be $15.
