South Hamilton, MA – September 8, 2006 – Children and Adult riders, as well as Junior and Amateur jumpers, were featured at the Fidelity Investment Jumper Classic in Grass Arena Two. $3,000 in prize money was awarded between the Level 3 – Level 5 classes on a beautiful Friday afternoon.

There were only two competitors who jumped double clean rounds in the $1,500 Junior Amateur Low class: Wendy Wood on her horse Coritaan and Suzanne Buchheit aboard Extraordinaire. Wood had a beautiful jump-off round in 41.253 seconds, followed closely by Megan McGregor who had a faster time of 34.886 and four faults on Clover Market. Buchheit went almost last in the class and sped past the group with a clear round in 37.724 seconds, four seconds faster than the current leader.

“This was my first time showing in the Low Amateurs with Extraordinaire,” Buchheit said. “ My mother bought him for me in June, and we have only been to three shows so far. I showed at The Hampton Classic and Vermont in the Adult division,” she added. The chestnut gelding is only seven and was first in the Young Jumper Championship as a five year old with Darragh Kerins in the irons. “It doesn’t matter what the size of the jumps are with him, it is just my approach to the fences. I am able to go a little bit slower in the Low Amateurs than the Adult division, and it was really fun,” Buchheit smiled.
