FOSH Announces Several “Firsts” for its 2006 North American Championships

Friends of Sound Horses (FOSH) and Mid-Atlantic Sound Horses are excited to announce several firsts for the Seventh North American Pleasure Gaited Horse Championships:
Ø 2006 will be the first time the North American Championships are taking place on the East Coast
Ø The Championships will award over $12,000 in prize money
Ø North American Peruvian Horse Association (NAPHA) affiliation
Ø United Mountain Horse “AA” National show affiliation
Ø An “all gaited” drill team competition
Classes will be offered for Tennessee Walking, Spotted Saddle and Racking Horses as well as Open Gaited Breed. Two Rocky Mountain Horse (RMH) “B” point shows will be affiliated.
The FOSH North American Championships offer an ideal means for gaited horse enthusiasts to view various breeds of gaited horses all in one venue. During past years, numerous breeds have appeared at the Championships, including: Tennessee Walking Horses, Rocky Mountain Horses, Missouri Fox Trotters, Peruvian Pasos, Spotted Saddle Horses, Gaited Morgans and others. The 2006 Championships will be held September 21st – 24th, 2006 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia.
