Beacon Hill Show Stables Takes Blue Ribbons at Four Seasons II Horse Show

Colts Neck, NJ – May 2, 2007 – Beacon Hill Show Stables of Colts Neck, NJ, competed for top honors this past weekend at the Four Seasons II Show in Titusville, NJ. Riders from Beacon Hill captured numerous blue ribbons in the equitation classes, as well as several hunter division tricolors.

Maria Schaub took first place in the NJPHA Gold Medal aboard Cobblestone, and Chelsea Moss followed in second on Onatello VDL. Annie Davidson pinned third on Guiness, Karen Polle received fifth for her ride on Aaron, and Olivia Clancy earned sixth with her horse Onassis.

Beacon Hill added more blue ribbons to their collection when Jacqueline Lubrano triumphed for first in the HBO Medal with her horse LB Carte Noir, and Laura King-Kaplan won first place in the USEF Medal. Karen Polle took fifth for her ride aboard Burgunder, and Clancy finished in eighth.

Polle then upped the ante in the ASPCA Maclay and topped the leader board with her horse Aaron. King-Kaplan rode Charlie Z to fourth place, Olivia Fass was seventh on Voltaire, and Clancy received another eighth place ribbon.

For the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) Equitation Overall results, Lubrano took the top spot, Carolyn Curcio finished in second, King-Kaplan was third, Schaub followed in fourth, and Moss was fifth. Curcio also won the WIHS Jumper Phase with a score of 90, and Lubrano pinned behind her in second place. Schaub won the Hunter Phase with Cobblestone, and Laura King-Kaplan finished up in third.

In the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, Curcio won aboard Valvert, King-Kaplan was second on Nelson, Moss pinned third with Onatello VDL, and Clancy took seventh.

Erica Polle and Whimsey finished fourth in the HBO Medal, second in the NJPHA Children’s Equitation and second in the Mini-Medal. Kate Marraccini and Primus also competed in their very first horse show and pinned eighth in NJPHA Children’s Equitation.

In the Children’s Small/Medium Pony division, Kristen Mohr guided A Happy Medium to two firsts and a third over fences and second under saddle. The pair received the championship tricolor after their successful efforts. Mohr also won the tricolor in the Children’s Large Pony division with a catch-ride aboard My Thriller. In the same division, Madelyn Keck and Brighton’s Sketch earned second, third, and sixth over fences and fifth in the hack.

Catherine Avolese piloted Gotham City in the Children’s 14 and Under Hunters, and the pair finished with first, third, and fifth places over fences and won fourth in Marshall & Sterling Children’s Hunter Classic. Lauren Loshiavo received sixth aboard Prince Vince in the Marshall & Sterling Children’s Hunter Classic, and Erica Polle guided Moriah to second place in Children’s 14 and Under Hunter under saddle.

In the Large Junior Hunter division, Rachel Roter jogged Wizard of Oz to fourth and eighth place ribbons, and they finished third under saddle. Jessica Springsteen and her horse Tiziano received two firsts, a seventh, and the reserve championship in the same division. King-Kaplan rode her Large Junior Hunter, North Country, and won two thirds, a fourth, and two fifths.

In addition, King-Kaplan competed in the Small Junior Hunters with her horse Heartfelt and won two thirds, two fourths, and a fifth. Springsteen rode her second mount, Sublime, and earned two second place ribbons, as well as sixth and eighth places. Schaub showed King-Kaplan’s Heartfelt in the Non-Restricted Junior/A-O division, and the duo was presented the division championship.

Alyssa Korotkin and Remsen competed in the Adult Amateur 35 & Older Hunters, and they came away with two seconds, a third, and a fifth. Angel DeFelippo also rode Whise Girl to high placings in the same division.

Beacon Hill is located in Colts Neck, NJ, and is owned by head trainers Frank and Stacia Madden. The training program includes assistant trainers Max Amaya, Krista Freundlich, and Jennifer Griffiths.
