Fred Glueckstein is based in Sykesville, Maryland and specializes in writing non-fiction with an eye to the past as well as the present. He has written for equine publications and journals, and has contributed to anthologies. Fred writes about the world of horses, writers, artists, and celebrities, specifically exploring the long and enduring relationship between people and their four-legged friends. He has penned articles about such horse enthusiasts as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Gen. George S. Patton, Sir Alfred J. Munnings, Richard Stone Reeves, Anna Sewell, Marguerite Henry, as well as lesser-known but equally fascinating celebrities. Fred has also profiled such Champion Thoroughbreds as Assault, Black Gold, Gallant Fox, Exterminator, and Omaha. Straight from the horse’s mouth one could say!
In his spare time, Fred volunteers at the Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Lisbon, Maryland, where he works with abused and neglected horses.
