Free Admission to Road to the Horse’s Shopping Extravaganza

MURFREESBORO, Tenn., December 28, 2006— Shop ‘til you drop to your spurs, browse ‘til the cows come home. Road to the Horse Owner and Producer Tootie Bland (of Noodle, Texas) opens the doors to Murfreesboro, Tennessee’s Tennessee Miller Coliseum Friday March 2, 2007 (5 to 9 p.m.) for a night of horse-themed shopping open to the public and loaded with more than 140 booths. Road to the Horse tickets not required; Shopping Extravaganza admission is free.

“We’ve pumped up the shopping options—in volume and spectrum,” Bland says. “We have beautiful jewelry, Western art, high-end conversion trucks and trailers, custom hats, top western clothing, at least three trailer companies represented, horse health supplies--everything for the Western horse person.”

Bland works with expert trade-show coordinator Ronda May (of Early, Texas) to create a fun-filled environment where Road to the Horse attendees can shop before and during the colt-starting event which features Clinton Anderson, Stacy Westfall and Chris Cox. The three competing clinicians will be available to sign autographs in the official Road to the Horse booth at 5 p.m. during the Shopping Extravaganza night.

May exhibits at major horse shows across the country including the All American Quarter Horse Congress, the American Paint Horse Association World Show, the National Finals Rodeo, The National Western Stock Show, The Houston Stock Show and Rodeo, and more. With her vibrant personality, she’s connected with many top vendors and knows what shoppers want to see.

“She’s increased our shopping experience tenfold,” Bland says of May. “She’s brought all the best vendors from the top national shows to Road to the Horse. She has been extraordinary in every situation and boldly leads us forward.”

Road to the Horse features 110 indoor booth spaces offering more than 75 different shops. The official Road to the Horse booth will be larger than ever and offer logo wear such as crew and hooded sweatshirts, embroidered ball caps, hat and t-shirt combos, fleece outerwear, bandanas, bracelets, shirts for the competing celebrities to autograph. Adult and youth sizes will be available.

New this year, shoppers may explore outdoor exhibits, covering more than 17,000 square feet surrounding the coliseum.

“We’ll blanket the sidewalk area beside the main doors to the coliseum,” Bland says. “Some of the horse trailers that will roll in will be $100,000 plus. There will be something for everyone at every price point and need. Come see the high-end options and shop for the best.”
