Freedom Health, LLC, Returns to Sponsor The Hampton Classic Horse Show
Equestrian News Release
Aurora, OH (August 27, 2006)--Freedom Health, LLC, maker of SUCCEED(TM) Digestive Conditioning Program(TM), is proud to announce its return as a sponsor of the prestigious Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY, August 27 - September 3. With 1,400 horses competing and more than 40,000 spectators in attendance, this historic event is one of the largest show jumping competitions in the country.
The Hampton Classic is well known for hosting top competition with Olympic and international-caliber riders, such as McLain Ward, Laura Kraut and Kimberly Prince--all of whom use SUCCEED with their horses. These successful riders and veterans of the Hampton Classic support the use of SUCCEED based on results alone--they receive no financial compensation from Freedom Health. A growing number of trainers, riders and competitors are recognizing the potential benefits of implementing a digestive health management program utilizing SUCCEED. That group includes the 2006 USEF National Grand Prix Dressage champion Steffen Peters and international combined driving competitor Chester Weber, both of whom qualified for the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, along with Ward and Kraut.
"We're proud that across the many disciplines of equestrian sport, top equine professionals continue to recommend the use of SUCCEED to support a healthy digestive tract and optimal performance," said Patrick Warczak, Vice President - Marketing at Freedom Health. "These individuals are committed to excellence in their respective fields, and their support of SUCCEED shows that digestive health management can benefit horses of all activity levels."
SUCCEED Digestive Conditioning Program was built on the belief that healthy horses feel better, look better and perform better. A properly functioning digestive tract is a critical element in maintaining that level of health for the equine performance athlete. After all, the delicate equine digestive tract is the delivery mechanism for every nutrient the horse needs. It absorbs essential vitamins, minerals, fats, carbohydrates and proteins from feed, fueling the horse’s ability to run faster, jump higher, work hard and recover more quickly.
Managing the performance horse typically includes the use of energy-dense grain feeds, training, intermittent feedings, stalling and travel--all of which can negatively affect the equine digestive system. The carbohydrates in grain provide insufficient fiber to buffer and slow down the movement of feed, leaving little time for absorption of nutrients. Grain feeds and intermittent feeding schedules may cause spikes and dips in blood sugar levels, which can affect a horse’s temperament and ability to perform. The performance horse lifestyle, including training, travel and competition, can strain the immune system and challenge digestive health.
SUCCEED is formulated to support a healthy digestive tract while the horse remains on an active training and competition schedule. A unique combination of ingredients in SUCCEED work together to create a digestive environment that is optimal for the horse’s overall health and condition.
