RV Sales of Broward Launches Aggressive Sponsorship Campaign kicking off with the $20,000 Garden State Welcome Stake

Wellington, FL - March 23, 2006 - RV Sales of Broward announced today that they are proudly sponsoring the $20,000 Garden State Welcome Stake that takes place May 3rd -7th, 2006 in Augusta, NJ. The 54th annual Garden State Horse Show, presented by the Junior Essex Troop, Inc., regularly draws high-caliber equestrian athletes who often make the show their first stop in the northeast after wintering in Florida. The prestigious event marks the start of the spring circuit, enticing hunters and jumpers by offering top prize money.
Gigi Stetler, CEO of RV Sales of Broward, has been an avid weekend warrior in the Amateur Hunters and Jumpers for years and has turned her business into a means for housing and supporting her fellow competitors. Since 1995, she has chosen to advertise by sponsoring many large equestrian events. She sponsors the Amateur Jumper division at the Winter Equestrian Festival and many of the $25,000 classes at Littlewood Horse Show held in Wellington, Florida during the winter months.
When asked why she sponsors horse shows, she replied, “I like to give something back to the sport that I enjoy. I have many professional and amateur friends who ride, and I want to make showing more affordable for everyone. In return, exhibitors tend to support horse friendly vendors. It is really important that we work together as a community.”
In addition to the Garden State $20,000 Welcome Stake, Stetler has committed to being the official RV Sponsor for the Beacon Hill Classic held in Colts Neck, NJ on June 16-18, 2006. Stay tuned for future announcements of upcoming events sponsored by RV Sales of Broward throughout the summer.
Gigi finds the equestrian lifestyle is a perfect fit for her, as she can combine her business with her passion for horses. As a horseperson herself, she understands the challenges that equestrians face and attributes her customer service and ability to handle these issues as the key ingredient to her company’s success.
“Most consumers are tired of the high cost of hotels, and a recreational vehicle seems like a logical solution. With high costs, often you need to sacrifice quality to save a few dollars. Not to mention, I have had many inconvenient experiences with hotels that have challenges with pets and all the other common things that usually follow the ‘horsey’ set, like lots of dirt. It’s nice to come home to a place that is all yours, even when you are on the road for long periods of time,” remarked Stetler.
“If you have employees that need to be taken care of as well, and it is very easy to watch your horse show bill escalate exponentially. This can put a strain on your horse show budget. Like most competitors, I want to see the bulk of my money spent on showing and training rather than where I need to lay my head at night,” she added.
RV Sales of Broward has been in business since 1986, with its mega location in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and a dealership located in Palm Beach. They are always found at premier locations on the horseshow circuit. In addition to Garden State Horse Show and Beacon Hill Classic, The Hampton Classic, Hits-on the-Hudson, and Lake Placid Horseshows always have inventory in tow. Currently they are taking rental orders for these venues as well as the Kentucky Horse Park 2006 season.
