Gold Rush Series Shows at Hansen Dam

Burbank, California. Langer Equestrian Group, Inc.’s President and CEO, Larry Langer, announced that LEG will produce five hunter/jumper shows at Hansen Dam Equestrian Center in Lakeview Terrace, California. The Gold Rush Series will be USEF, PCHA and LAHSA recognized shows. To those familiar with Los Angeles Area shows, these five shows were originally held at the Paddock Riding Club. With the sale of the facility, the shows were cancelled in 2006 until LEG stepped in to take responsibility for the shows.
“I am really excited about the future of these shows,” said David Schmutz who originally created the shows. “Under LEG’s management I think the shows will grow. I couldn’t be happier.” Of his plans for the shows, Langer stated, “This area has lost a lot of its one day shows, and my goal is to create solid three days shows where people can show all three days or come in for a day. I think we are providing shows for an under-served segment of the market.”
LEG is working with the management of Hansen Dam Equestrian Center to implement some important facility upgrades. There will be new footing added to the warm up and show rings, along with new hunter and jumper jumps.
In addition, LEG has partnered with the Marriott Ocean Resort on Oahu (Hawaii) to award five vacation trips. One trip will be awarded at each show, and full details will be available on the LEG website at http://www.langershows.com.
Finally, the five show Gold Rush Series will culminate in series awards for a variety of divisions and sections. “Many people choose not compete for year end awards because of the number of shows they have to attend in order to be competitive,” stated Langer. “Series awards are very popular because exhibitors have a finite number of shows to attend in order to earn an award.”
