Good Point and Jennifer Reid of Bainbridge Farm Win Second Hunter Championship

Wellington, FL - March 10, 2008 - Bainbridge Farm, based in Wellington, FL, and owned by Richard Schechter, took home another championship ribbon last week at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival. Jennifer Reid and Good Point were champions for the second week in a row in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters.

This week, Reid and Good Point won two classes and were fifth and sixth in the remaining classes. Good Point, a 12-year-old Warmblood gelding, and Reid have only been paired together for a little over a month. Reid said the experienced and successful hunter "feels like an equitation horse."

She elaborated, "He's got the most comfortable canter I have ever experienced. His step is big, he just flows down each line, and I barely ever need to adjust. Typically when I try to tell him what to do I only get in his way. He's got a better grip on what he's doing than I do, so I try to just stay out of the way and let him do his job."

Reid believes that Good Point has all of the qualities that make a horse a good hunter. "His ears are always up and attentive, just like a hunter should be," she explained. "I've met horses that really don't enjoy being at the show or being ridden and jumped in general. Not this horse. He loves every minute of it, and he's always looking to the next jump."

Bainbridge Farm and Reid will compete next week at the ninth installment of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival on March 12-16.
