Grand Prix Level Show Jumper to Promote Equine Stomach Ulcer Prevention

DULUTH, Ga., Jan. 9, 2006 — Merial announced today that Grand Prix Level Show Jumping athlete AAron Vale will serve as an official spokesperson for the company’s equine ulcer product – ULCERGARD™ (omeprazole), the only product proven to prevent stomach ulcers in horses.
“We are excited that many top-level athletes have recognized the importance of preventing equine stomach ulcers and are using ULCERGARD. Having a great sportsman such as AAron address this significant healthcare issue will further educate horse owners of this condition and the importance of prevention,” said Jeannine Courser, Product Manager, Merial Equine

In 2004, AAron held the record for the most Grand Prix wins in one year at 18. This year he has surpassed his own record and sets his sights on the next Olympic Games. Along with trainer Andrea King, Vale operates training facilities in Ocala, Florida and in Aiken, South Carolina.
As part of this relationship, AAron Vale will participate in various consumer events and promotions representing the ULCERGARD brand, as well as display the ULCERGARD logo on banners and various branded clothing at competitive events.
