Lexington, KY - January 19, 2009 - Phelps Media Group, Inc. International (PMG), a public relations firm specializing in the equestrian industry, is pleased to announce that Hagyard Equine Medial Institute has joined its client roster. Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is located directly across from the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, and has practiced veterinary medicine for more than 130 years. The institute offers a state-of-the-art facility and the highest quality in equine healthcare.
Dedicated to the health and well-being of a diverse equine clientele, the well-educated staff at the institute is composed of over 60 experienced veterinarians, with 12 board certifications in specialty areas of Medicine, Surgery and Theriogenology. Historically the institute specialized in the treatment of world-renowned thoroughbred race horses, as well as international breeding and work related to foals and their upbringing. However, over the years Hagyard Equine Medical Institute expanded its veterinary expertise to include sport horses in the disciplines of show jumping, dressage, three-day eventing, and roping, to name a few. The company now includes the Hagyard Sport Horse program led by FEI-licensed equine veterinarian Duncan Peters, DVM, MS, which brings the same level of excellent care to show horse athletes that the institute has provided for the race horse and breeding industries.
