WESTPORT, CT - October 24, 2008 -The EQUUS Foundation is holding its "Deal or No Deal" event at the Syracuse show on Halloween, Friday, October 31, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Oncenter Ballroom. Hosted by Bates Saddles, the event will feature junior riders as the Deal or No Deal Suitcase Models.
Partnering with the Syracuse Invitational, a horse show already well known for inventiveness in horse show management and programming, the EQUUS event will provide exhibitors unique entertainment with a Halloween twist. A casual affair, exhibitors can take a break from the competition to enjoy a reception, buffet dinner, an audio-visual Halloween show, culminating with the entertaining take-off on the well-known TV show featuring emcee Mason Phelps, Jr., National Horse Show Chairman. The contestants will be chosen from among the audience so everyone has a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000, or make a deal for great prizes.

The deadline for advance reservations is Friday, October 24, 2008. Suitcase Sponsorships (Tables of six) are $1,000; Individual seats purchased in advance are $100 per adult; $50 per child 12 and under. Limited seating may be available at the show at $125 for individual seats and $75 for children 12 and under. Donations for event attendance are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
The EQUUS Foundation sponsors entertaining events each year to give something back to donors who give so generously. The EQUUS Foundation, Inc. recently announced the award of over $300,000 to 50 charities involved in equestrian and equine activities, bringing the total awards to $1.1 million since 2003. The awards were made possible almost entirely from event contributors.
