Hansjürgen Britsch wins the “Silver Camera”
Equestrian News Release
The water splashes everywhere when the carriages speed by. So the title that Hansjürgen Britsch gave his photo is most apt: “Refreshing enjoyment.“ For which the photographer from Mühlacker received the “Silver Camera“ at the CHIO Aachen for the best equestrian sport photo 2008/2009. “I was lucky that the sun was shining and that you could see the leaves,“ Britsch said modestly beforehand. He received a hearty applause from the crowd in the CHIO main stadium, after being presented with the coveted media prize by Hubert Herpers, Chairman of the Board, Sparkasse Aachen, and Hans Kauhsen, member of the Supervisory Board of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein.
Second place was awarded to Nicole Bökhaus from Winterthur/Switzerland for her photo entitled “Sunshine“, Enno Friedrich from Luneburg came third with the photo “A lucky fall“. The media prize is endowed with 4000 Euros, 2500 Euros of which go to the winner, 1000 Euros to the runner-up and 500 Euros to the second runner-up. The Silver Camera is jointly awarded every year by the CHIO organisers, the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein, the Sparkasse Aachen and the Rheinische Sparkasse- & Giroverband.
