Hoedown for HEART Scheduled For February 9, 2007
Wellington, FL – February 7, 2007 – The Humane Equine Aid and Rapid Transport (HEART) is preparing for its second annual fundraiser, the HEART Hoedown. In a creative attempt to raise much needed funds for the organization, party planners have decided to have a mechanical bull Calcutta, where top riders will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The rider that stays on the bull the longest wins a country western prize as does the person with the winning bid.
International grand prix stars Todd Minikus and Candice King are favored to win, but the junior riders Nick Dello Joio and Hardin Towell will not let victory be stolen away easily. Emily Williams and Dale Rochester are also scheduled to ride and have a few “sticky” tricks up their sleeve. The competition should be very entertaining for all who attend. Tickets and tables are still available, so please join us for some casual fun, music and tasty Outback Steakhouse dinner.

The Cause: Humane Equine Aid and Rapid Transport (HEART) Equine Ambulance has a state-of-the-art equine ambulance that allows HEART to respond to emergencies at events throughout the United States. Currently HEART provides services to some of the nation's top equestrian events.
