Jessica Springsteen Accrues Multiple Blue Ribbons and Best Junior Rider Award
Saugerties, NY - June 13, 2007 - At the HITS-On-the-Hudson II Horse Show last week in Saugerties, NY, the students at Beacon Hill Show Stables received impressive ribbons in numerous classes. Beacon Hill of Colts Neck, NJ, is owned by Frank and Stacia Madden, the program also includes assistant trainers Max Amaya, Krista Freundlich, Jennifer Griffiths, and Heather Senia.
Hayley Carlson and T Naralda took home top honors in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Jumpers, and they earned eighth in the classic and the reserve championship for their division. Beacon Hill came away with another blue ribbon when Jessica Springsteen won the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic with La Movida. The pair received third place in their division earlier in the week, and Springsteen was named Best Junior Rider for her numerous successes throughout the show.
Chelsea Moss rode Lorena 90 to fifth place, and Maria Schaub piloted Marga to fifth in the Junior/A-O Classic. In the $25,000 Ariat Grand Prix on Thursday, June 7, Brianne Goutal finished sixth with Ralvesther and tenth on Mon Gamin. Both horses are owned by the Cloverleaf Farm.
Beacon Hill congratulates Karen Polle on Valfee des Hazalles, Olivia Clancy on Caspar, and Mackenzie Keck on his horses AK Mickey and Sensation for moving up to Low Junior Jumpers for the first time this past week. In the Low Juniors, Elizabeth Lubrano and Lennox finished in third, and AK Mickey and Mackenzie Keck pinned seventh.
In the equitation classes, Carolyn Curcio was third on Valvert in the USEF Hunt Seat Medal, which qualified her for the year-end finals. Karen Polle rode Burgunder to fifth and Clancy finished sixth aboard Onassis. Curcio also won the hunter phase of the Washington International Horse Show Equitation with a high score of 90, and Springsteen topped the field in the jumper phase with a 92. Springsteen then took first overall, Curcio ranked in fourth overall, Schaub was sixth, Jacqueline Lubrano was seventh, and Polle received eighth.
Springsteen rode for third in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search on her mount Papillon 136. Lubrano was seventh on LB Carte Noir, and Chelsea Moss was ninth on Onatello VDL. In addition, Springsteen captured the win in the Marshall & Sterling Junior Medal with Tiziano, Clancy was second on Onassis, and Schaub came away with fifth on I Toon.
In the Mini-Maclay, Erica Polle rode Whimsey to first place, and the pair pinned seventh in the Marshall & Sterling Medal. They picked up seventh in the Show Circuit Medal as well. Prince Vince and Lauren Loshiavo were second in the Mini-HITS and fourth in the Mini-Medal, and Marvel and Kristen Mohr were fourth in the Marshall & Sterling Medal.
In the Open Equitation 14 & Under, Springsteen won first, fourth, and the division championship. Karen Polle was first on Aaron and second on Burgunder, and Rachel Roter took seventh and eighth on Casino.
Schaub and I Toon received the blue ribbon in the Open Equitation 15-17 division, and they finished with the reserve championship. Moss captured a second on Logan and second on Onatello VDL, and Clancy was third on Onassis. In addition, Jacqueline Lubrano and Lucky Joe were second, and Elizabeth Lubrano and Mr. Wendell were third.
Riesa Lakin on her sister's hunter Wedgewood topped the charts in the Adult Hunter 18-35 Hunters, and they were also eighth under saddle and sixth in the Marshall & Sterling Hunter Classic. Another blue was added to Beacon Hill's tack room when Lindsey Mohr won the Ariat Adult Medal with a score of 87. She was seventh in the Marshall & Sterling Adult Medal and won third and fifth in the hunter classes on Lion King.
Springsteen and Sublime received two first places in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunters, and they earned two fifths and the reserve championship. The pair proved to be unbeatable in the Junior Hunter Classic after they received high scores of 86 and 92. Springsteen also guided Tiziano to four blue ribbon finishes in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters, and they were presented the championship award. In addition, she and Tiziano finished third in the Junior Hunter Classic with an 89 and an 86.
Also in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters, Lucky Joe and Jacqueline Lubrano were sixth, eighth, eighth, and seventh, and Wizard of Oz and Rachel Roter pinned third, sixth, and ninth. Graffiti and Clancy earned two sevenths, an eighth, and tenth.
Kristen Mohr and A Happy Medium took home first, two seconds, fifth, and the reserve championship in the Children's Small/Medium Pony, and they finished second in their classic with scores of 82 and 90. Mohr showed Marvel in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters and won first and sixth over fences and the reserve championship.
Erica Polle and Greenwich Avenue were second and fifth over fences and fifth under saddle in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters, and she also rode Moriah to second over fences and fourth under saddle. Rumors Fly and Liza Albreada were fourth over fences, and Prince Vince and Lauren Loshiavo were eighth.
Brighton's Sketch and Madelyn Keck competed in the Children's Large Pony division, and they were presented with fourth, fifth, and eighth over fences and first under saddle. In the same division, Keck rode Blue By You to second, third, and seventh place finishes, and they were also third in the Marshall & Sterling Pony Medal.
Beacon Hill Show Stables will show again next week at the HITS-On-The-Hudson III in Saugerties, NY. After the HITS competitions, the show stable will compete at the Lake Placid Horse Shows in New York.
