Delta Hoof Care Teams with Tavern on the Green for HITS Awards Dinner

(Rocklin, CA, August 18, 2006) A magical evening honoring some of the country's finest riders will take place on September 16 during the Marshall & Sterling League finals at HITS-on-the-Hudson show grounds in Saugerties, New York. Hoof Power and Delta Hoof Care, a division of Delta Horseshoe Company, Inc., are presenting sponsors of the event, which will be sponsored and catered by Tavern on the Green.

Riders competing in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions earn points at more than 700 member events from September 5, 2005 through September 3, 2006. The top qualifiers are invited to the Marshall & Sterling League, an annual finals competition, which will be held September 14 - 17, 2006.

"We always try to make the Marshall & Sterling League very special because it is a finals event, but this year it will be extra special with the addition of Tavern on the Green sponsoring and catering, and Delta and Hoof Power presenting what will be a truly elegant awards dinner," notes John Eickman, national marketing director for HITS. "In addition, that evening we will have live entertainment provided by The Wailers, the band that Bob Marley once performed with."

Beginning September 1, Delta Hoof Care and Hoof Power, a broad-spectrum hoof supplement, will be a sponsor of every HITS show. "At Delta Hoof Care, we're proud to have a quality product that promotes strong, healthy hooves. Horse owners have realized this product consistently delivers results and their endorsement is our best advertisement," says Richelle Hochstatter of Delta Hoof Care. "Being able to partner with HITS and Tavern on the Green is phenomenal."

"Previously, Tavern on the Green has sponsored the High Junior Classic, but this is a much bigger and more exciting sponsorship," says Jenny Oz LeRoy, President and CEO of Tavern on the Green, and owner of Oz Farms. LeRoy recently moved her horses to Saugerties and has been showing at HITS throughout the summer.

"HITS and Delta Hoof Care products have the ability to greatly influence the horse community," adds LeRoy. "With this partnership we have the ability to influence people who put the health of their horse and rider first."

LeRoy promises that guests of the September 16 dinner event can expect all the fantasy and charm Tavern on the Green would provide at its New York City restaurant, but in a beautiful, unique setting on the Hudson. Great food, fabulous entertainment and a terrific party guarantee that participants will enjoy a memorable evening; they will also receive Delta Hoof care samples and helpful information on hoof care and nutrition.
