Over the Hill Farm's Shawn Casady Sweeps Large Pony Hunters at HITS Ocala Tournament

Ocala, FL - March 12, 2008 - It was another good week for the group at Over the Hill Farm at the HITS Ocala Winter circuit. This past week was the HITS Ocala Tournament, and trainer Bill Schaub of Sanford, FL, led his students to nine tricolor ribbons. They reigned again in the pony hunter divisions, where top pony rider Shawn Casady won four tricolors.

Casady swept the Large Pony Hunters and was champion with Liseter Clever Star, owned by Dr. Betsee Parker. They received four second place ribbons and were sixth in the model for the top tricolor, while Lifeline, owned by Paula Ann Hallman, tied for the reserve championship. Lifeline was first and third over fences, third under saddle, and third in the model. Liseter Clever Star was second in the Large Pony Hunter Classic while Lifelife was third.

In the Small Green Pony Hunters, Casady and Bubbalicious, owned by Forest Hill Farms, were champions. They won three over fences classes, were third in the remaining class, fifth under saddle, and sixth in the model. Casady also won the Medium Green Pony Hunter division with Ghirardelli, owned by Ashley Foster. They won three over fences as well and were third. They won the under saddle and were second in the model.

First Impression, owned by Katie Dinan LLC and ridden by Casady, picked up top ribbons in the Medium Pony Hunters and won the Medium Pony Hunter Classic. Casady also won the WIHS Pony Equitation on Sunny, owned by Bill Schaub.

Larkspur, owned by Ashley Kennedy Whitner and ridden by assistant trainer Molly Sewell, finished as reserve champions in the highly competitive Second Year Green Hunters. They won two over fences classes and were fourth in the remaining two classes. They added a sixth under saddle for the tricolor.

For the second week in a row, Ashley LeCroy and Halo took the championship in the Medium Pony Hunters. Halo is owned by Ashley Kennedy Whitner and Peakewood Pharm. Halo was first and sixth over fences, first under saddle and first in the model.

The reserve championship in the Medium Pony Hunters went to Bikini Beach, ridden and owned by Reid Patton. She was second, third, third, and fourth over fences and third in the model. She and Bikini Beach were also champions in the Schooling Pony Hunters. Patton won the Small Pony Hunter reserve championship on Blue Crush after they won two over fences classes and the model.

Over the Hill Farm will compete next at the HITS Ocala Winter Finals on March 11-16, 2008.
