Couveture and Hunt Tosh Are Green Conformation Hunter Champions at HITS Ocala

Ocala, FL – March 14, 2007 – This past week at the HITS Ocala Tournament, Couveture, owned by Lee Cesery of Jacksonville, FL, and ridden by Hunt Tosh, was the Green Conformation Hunter champion. Cesery trains with Bill Schaub at Over the Hill Farm of Sanford, FL.

This was only the third week that Couveture has shown in the Green Conformation Hunter division and the first week with Tosh riding. Daniel Geitner showed Couveture to top ribbons and a reserve championship earlier in the HITS Ocala circuit.

Tosh and Couveture were second in the model class and the under saddle. Couveture’s forte shined when he jumped to three blue ribbons and a third, which secured the championship.

“He was outstanding this week,” Schaub conveyed. “He really came into his own, jumped beautifully and stayed consistent.” Cesery and Schaub decided not to show in the Amateur-Owner Hunters this past week. “We don’t want to overuse him,” Schaub maintained. “Lee came to watch him show and was so excited to see him win.”

While Couveture has shown his incredible talent in the professional divisions, he is also compatible for Cesery as an amateur horse. “He takes zero preparation. He suits Lee very well,” Schaub described. “He should be around and winning for awhile.”

Over the Hill Farm competes this week at the final competition of the HITS Ocala Winter circuit, the HITS Ocala Winter Finals, on March 14-18, 2007.
