HITS Saugerties offers exhibitors plenty of Out-of-Ring excitement with annual events this spring

SAUGERTIES, NY (April 29, 2009)—When show jumping returns to HITS Saugerties on Wednesday, May 20 exhibitors will be treated to several fun Out-of-Ring activities during the spring series of horse shows at the HITS-on-the-Hudson equestrian facility, in Saugerties, New York.

During HITS-on-the-Hudson I, beautifully restored classic cars will be rolling in on Saturday, May 23 for the second-annual HITS-on-the-Hudson Classic Car Showcase. All of the cars will be displayed on the berms overlooking the show rings giving exhibitors a chance to vote on their favorite cars throughout the day. The most popular car will take home the HITS Horse Power Trophy.

HITS' Official Radio Station, The Wolf 94.3 FM/97.7FM will be broadcasting live during the car show. Exhibitors or spectators who would like to register a car for the event, should contact Chris Mayone via e-mail at Chris@HitsShows.com or call 845.246.8833.

Exhibitors who attend HITS-on-the-Hudson II should bring their appetites, as the popular Taste of HITS-on-the-Hudson returns on Saturday, May 30. Restaurants from the surrounding areas will be on-site throughout the afternoon, offering samples from their sumptuous and varied menus.

Restaurants already on the Taste-of roster include The Dutch Ale House, Le Canard Enchaine, The Dam Cafe, Cafe Mezauluna and Mirabella's.

HITS-on-the-Hudson III will be all about the kids when the Purina Mills Kids Day comes to town on Sunday, June 7. Kids Day is always one of the most popular events at HITS-on-the-Hudson and will feature a day filled with family fun at the horse show grounds .

Also on the agenda for Purina Mills Kids Day is the popular Purina Mills Canine Affair dog costume party, where exhibitors can dress up their dogs in crazy outfits.

When show jumping returns to HITS for its summer series of horse shows on Wednesday, July 15 the Out-of-Ring fun continues with the second-annual Village of Saugerties Block Party and the ever-popular Equine Idol karaoke event.
