HITS Saugerties Spring and Summer Series Prize List Now Available Online

Saugerties, NY - April 6, 2009 - The prize list for the 2009 HITS Saugerties Spring and Summer Series has been mailed and is also now available online for those exhibitors who are making their summer showing plans. This prize list includes the Spring Series from May 20-June 7, the Summer Series from July 15-August 2, and the USEF Junior Hunter National Championships. The Prize List for the Labor Day Series on August 26-September 13 will be mailed and available online later this spring.

This year's HITS Saugerties Spring and Summer Series offers even more for hunter and jumper competitors in its schedule, including increased prize money and special classics.

For High Performance riders, more than $1 million in prize money will be handed out over the course of the spring and summer series in the Open Jumper division. There are four Open Jumper classes per week, including two grand prix events each week. Junior and Amateur jumpers will see their divisions and Classics split each week with $5,000 awarded in the Low Classic and $10,000 in the High Classic each week. The Children's and Adult jumpers will have a $10,000 Classic on weeks I and IV, as well as their regular Classics the other weeks.

There's something special for the hunters too, as the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and the $5,000 Pony Commotion take place week VI. $50,000 in prize money will be awarded at the 2009 USEF Junior Hunter East Coast Championships, and equitation riders will have a chance to compete in the prestigious Hunterdon Cup. Children's and Adult hunters will each have an opportunity to show in a special classic as one of the feature classes of the evening schedule. Check the schedule for other special classics featured each week on Friday and Saturday evenings.

HITS, Inc. has taken special consideration to pricing for this year's shows. They have instituted considerable discounts for stall rates and nomination fees, and they have eliminated ship-in and grounds fees.
