Holistic Horse Magazine Goes Bi-Monthly, Continues Recycling Efforts with New Printer

PERKASIE, PA – After 13 years of quarterly publication, Holistic Horse magazine will begin issuing bi-monthly editions in February 2008.
Holistic Horse publisher Karen Tappenden cites three motivating factors for the decision to increase publication frequency: “Our advertisers requested it; our subscribers will benefit; and the cutting edge alternative health care options out there today demand more timely coverage.”
Coinciding with the increase in issue frequency is a move to The Ovid Bell Press, Inc., Fulton, MO, for printing and distribution. OBP provides 100% post-consumer waste paper for Holistic Horse, ensuring the magazine’s continued commitment to environmental responsibility.
Additional issues each year and acquiring a new printer are not the only changes taking place. In late 2007, Holistic Horse launched a free monthly e-newsletter, providing the latest news in equine health to thousands of e-mail recipients.
The magazine’s website, http://www.holistichorse.com, offers exclusive features, audio and video podcasts, tips from the experts, hundreds of archived articles, an ongoing discussion forum, product and practitioner listings, and a calendar of upcoming events – all geared toward informing and educating holistic equine enthusiasts.
