2009 Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival Expands to Four Weeks of Competition

Traverse City, MI - March 4, 2009 - Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of a fourth week of competition to their popular Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival. The month-long, multi-discipline competition will run from July 8 through August 2 and will feature the country's best horses and riders competing for a chance to accumulate year-end points and grab a share of the nearly $400,000 in total prize money. Highlights include the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Classic on July 11 and the weekly $30,000 Show Jumping Grand Prix.
Other special events scheduled are the Hunter Jumper Association of Michigan Equitation Medal Finals, Dressage by the Bay Series, By the Bay Local Day Finals, and Polo by the Bay polo exhibition.
Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival is located three miles east of Traverse City, Michigan's scenic Grand Traverse Bay.
