Top Horses Under the Hammer, “CHIO-Auction” at the World Equestrian Festival 2007

„Aaand…for the third time! Sold!“ The traditional sales week organised during the World Equestrian Festival, the CHIO Sales, has now become the “CHIO Auction“. The format of the equestrian sales event has been further developed and compressed into a large one-day auction. An auctioneer will be present at the Aachen Soers during the CHIO Aachen 2007 from July 3rd-8th.
The partners Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV), Rhineland and Westphalian Stud Books conceived the new model. “We will be offering horses from foals right through to seven-year-old dressage and jumping horses,“ explained Horst Ense, Chairman of the Breeding Section at the German National Horse Association (FN). The horses will not only originate from North Rhine Westphalia. High fliers from all associations affiliated with the “World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses“ will be on offer.
Entrance tickets for the auction to be held on the Wednesday of the tournament (July 4th, 6 p.m., Deutsche Bank Stadium) are available from the ALRV hotline: +49-(0)241-917–1111. An auction catalogue, alternatively available as a CD, will be issued prior to the tournament. All further info can be obtained online at www.chioaachen.
Accredited experts are responsible for selecting the auction horses: Two experts from Aachen, Peter Weinberg (show-jumping) and Ton de Ridder (dressage), as well as Martin Spoo (Rhineland Stud Book) and Peter Krautwig (Westphalian Stud Book). They will guarantee that the multi-faceted collection does justice to the widest possible range of demands.
