Horse Lover's 2 Minute How To Videos show you how it's done On-Line

The Bay Area Equestrian Network (BAEN) has launched a new informational video series called "The Horse Lover's 2 Minute How To". These professionally produced videos can be viewed free of charge at http://results.bayequest.info/2minvideo/ -- no user registration or sign-in is required. Visitors will enjoy both the quality content and state-of-the-art ON2 "Flix" technology that plays these videos smoothly even on slow Internet connections.

2 Minute How To videos are a helpful resource for both experienced horsemen and newcomers to the sport. As the name suggests, they are approximately two minutes in length for easy viewing. Each video showcases a Northern California equestrian expert speaking on popular topics such as "How to safely lead your horse", "How to help your cinchy horse", "How to fit your saddle", and "How to give a shot". At the time of this press release, there are 16 videos on the site with lots more in the works. Visitors are encouraged to suggest topics for future videos.

The Horse Lover's 2 Minute How-To Videos are produced exclusively for BAEN by Padma Video, a Bay Area video production company specializing in equestrian video. Director Kathryn Lauritzen has owned horses most of her life. When not in the saddle, Kathryn is on the air. She is a 30-year veteran of radio broadcasting and has worked in New York, Washington D.C., Boston, San Jose and San Francisco. Padma Video is named after (what else?) her horse!

Says Kathryn, "I've been a fan of the Bay Area Equestrian Network for many years - even when I was living on the East Coast- so when I thought about doing equestrian videos of course my first thought was to try and partner with BAEN! I approached them with the concept of doing a two minute 'how to' style video series because I felt that it was needed."

"There's a lot of information out there on the Internet as well as a lot of misinformation. But the problem with misinformation as it relates to horses is that people and horses get hurt. The goal of 'The Horse Lover's 2 Minute How To' is to provide quality, easy to follow information from reputable, local experts."

"A friend of mine called the '2 Minute How To's' 'short attention span theater' and it IS that (kind of.) But seriously, it's about breaking down hard to do things (like giving a shot) into their essential steps. It's about providing a service to the BAEN community and ultimately, enhancing the bond between humans and horses."

Paul Ling of Extend Inc. says "A picture is worth a thousand words, but a video can really tell you the story. This is a big milestone for us, almost like owning an equestrian TV station! Providing useful information to equestrians via clear video is part of our continuing effort to serve BAEN's customer base."

"BAEN has adopted the most advanced video encoding technology for its 2 Minute How To series. This technology compresses video data for low bandwidth consumption while providing fast, crystal clear, full screen moving images in high definition quality. Few web sites offer this level of video technology."
