Traverse City, MI – April 19, 2007 – Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. is pleased to announce that additional Northern Michigan area businesses are showing their support of the new horse park. The park is being built three miles east of Grand Traverse Bay in Williamsburg. Shanty Creek Resort and Club, Pointes North Resort, Meijer, Eastfield Laundry, Outback, and Left Foot Charley Wines have all signed on as sponsors of this year’s production of Horse Shows by the Bay, which is a three-week equestrian festival featuring some of the nation’s best horses and riders.

Shanty Creek Resorts is one of two new host hotels offering special incentives to all horse show attendees and is located in Bellaire, MI. Shanty Creek Resorts is a four-season resort offering 72 holes of championship golf including Legend Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer golf course that has been awarded the highly regarded title of “The Number One Resort Course in the Midwest” by the readers of Golf Magazine. Located on 4,500 acres 30 miles northeast of Traverse City, Shanty Creek Resorts features three breathtaking village resorts, each with its own personality and offerings, allowing you to stay and play in sync with your preferences. Cedar River Village features modern, lodge-style rooms overlooking Cedar River Golf Course and majestic Schuss Mountain. Summit Village offers a spectacular 360 degree view of Lake Bellaire with cozy studios and one-, two-, or three bedroom units. Together, Shanty Creek Resorts and Horse Shows by the Bay will provide exceptional services and a memorable experience for the exhibitors and spectators. Shanty Creek Resorts looks forward to this opportunity to have the attendees enjoy pure Michigan hospitality,” said Jon Stutlz, Shanty Creek Resorts General Manager. In addition to their affiliation as a host property this season, Shanty Creek Resorts is also sponsoring the Series I’s $3,000 NAL Open Jumper Speed Qualifier.
