HorseCity.com to Webcast 27th Annual Augusta Futurity

(Augusta, Ga.) HorseCity.com, a premier equestrian destination on the Internet, will be Webcasting the 27th Annual Augusta Futurity and the Western Horseman Cup Finals for the 2005 competitive year. Internet users will have access to all the intense competition when the best of the best compete in the largest cattle cutting event east of the Mississippi River.
HorseCity.com’s Webcast will cover the action starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 and continuing through the end of the 4-Year-Old Futurity Open Finals, Saturday, Jan. 28. The finals of the Western Horseman Cup, with the 15 top Open Horses and 15 top Non-Pro riders from the year’s competition, will be help Friday, Jan. 27, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Users simply log onto http://www.augustafuturity.com and click on Event Webcast to go directly to the virtual arena.
“HorseCity.com is happy to once again be a part of the Augusta Futurity.” said Ryan Dohrn, general manager of HorseCity.com. “Our Webcast not only provides quality production, but also reaches 7,000 viewers per day throughout the competition.”
Originally a three-day show, the Augusta Futurity has continually grown, becoming a 10-day event and including a Western festival on the first Saturday. The Augusta Futurity is one of the top 10 cutting events in the nation with 600-plus horses, 3,600-plus cows and over $1 million dollars in prize money.
