Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction Catalogs Available Online or by Request

Wellington, FL February 12, 2007 The Ridge Farm is gearing up for the fourth annual Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction, and the complete list of horses is now available online.

The auction, which is open to the public and will be held on February 23, 2007, will offer 32 horses that have been carefully and thoughtfully handpicked by Olympic show jumping veteran Nona Garson. She has selected a range of horses that will appeal to all levels of riders and all price ranges.

Online at http://www.interconsporthorse.com, interested parties can view photos, complete descriptions and breeding details of each horse. Auction catalogs with the same information are available in a variety of locations, as well as invitations. Interested buyers can pick up a catalog in the Jockey Club at the 2007 Winter Equestrian Festival, the Phelps Media Group, Inc. International office and The Ridge Farm in Palm Beach Pointe. Also, out of town guests can order a catalog by sending an e-mail to interconhorse@aol.com with their name and address. Requests for catalogs will be honored through February 20.

For an up close and personal view of each prospective mount, there will be a viewing reception and cocktail party on Wednesday, February 21. Each horse will be shown under saddle or by hand. Interested parties are encouraged to attend, as well as make an appointment to view or try horses personally. The cocktail party and formal viewing reception will begin at 4 p.m., with the sale to follow on Friday, February 23 at 5 p.m.

The auction is modeled after traditional European sales, and the horses have complete x-rays taken no more than three months before the auction and a complete set of flexion tests no more than 10 days before the auction by Dr. Brendan Furlong. Each horse admitted to the auction must have a valid health certificate, vaccination record and the proper blood work taken. All vet reports are available to interested buyers, and Dr. Furlong is available for any questions a buyer might have.
