Cesery Sweeps Amateur-Owner Hunters Again at Jacksonville A-Z Horse Show

Green Cove Springs, FL – February 7, 2007 – At last week’s Jacksonville A-Z Horse Show at the Clay County Fairgrounds, Over the Hill Farm and Bill Schaub swept up another nine tricolor ribbons. One of the most impressive performances came from Lee Cesery of Jacksonville, FL, who was champion in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters on What D’Ya Know (2006 Farnam/Platform USEF Horse of the Year in the same division) and reserve champion on her new horse, Couverture.

Cesery rode Couverture to a score of 88 in the first round of the Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic and ended up in third place. What D’Ya Know was second in the classic.

Taylor Ann Adams of Eads, TN, had another victorious week as well. She piloted Lawless for Brittany Sheets and Invisequine Co. LLC to sixth place against other top junior, amateur and professional riders in the $25,000 Hunter Classic. Lawless picked up top ribbons (two seconds, a third and a fourth) in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters.

In that same division, Adams rode Cover Charge for Don Stewart Jr. and Darby Hill Farm to the reserve championship and the win in the Large Junior Hunter Classic.

With Victoria Lee, Lawless finished as champion in the Children’s 15-17 Hunters and won the NAL Children’s 15-17 Hunter Classic.

In the younger Children’s Hunter division, Sophie Read of Lake Mary, FL, rode her horse Monaco to the win in two classes and won the NAL Children’s 14 & Under Hunter Classic.

Adams made the switch to ponies and kept on winning. On Fancy Pants, owned by Victoria Lee, she was first in the Large Pony Hunter Classic. She rode Sassafras Creek for Bibby Farmer Hill to the championship in the Medium Pony Hunters and reserve championship in the Medium Green Pony Hunters. Sassafras Creek was second in the Medium Pony Hunter Classic.

Adams won the Medium Pony Hunter Classic on Sportster, owned by Sandra Butterworth. Further proving her catch-riding ability, Adams rode Simplicity for Emil Spadone to the reserve champion ribbon in the Large Green Pony Hunters. She also won the Show Circuit Children’s Medal and the WIHS Pony Equitation class.

Courtney Rodrigue continued her accomplishments in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters by winning the reserve championship on Role Model. They were second in the NAL Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunter Classic.

Kacey McCann rode Sante Cavalier for Brittany Sheets and Invisequine Co. LLC and was reserve champion in the Large Junior 16-17 Hunters.

Over the Hill Farm will compete next at the Jacksonville Finale Horse Show on February 7-11, 2007, before moving to the Ocala Winter Circuit, which begins on February 14, 2007.
