Jennifer Alfano Named New Sponsored Rider of EquiFit, Inc.

Jennifer Alfano of Buffalo, NY, is one of the top hunter riders in the country and brings an abundance of horsemanship experience as an EquiFit, Inc. sponsored rider.

Jennifer Alfano, originally from Harrisburg, PA, has been a professional rider for almost 20 years since her successful junior career. Before she became known as one the best hunter riders, however, she was a groom for the legendary grand prix jumper, Gem Twist.

Alfano accompanied Gem Twist to two World Cup Finals, the Pan American Games and the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. She learned how to care for horses at the very top level of equestrian sport, and she brought that wealth of knowledge when she went to work for Susan Schoellkopf at SBS Farms in Buffalo.

On such famous hunters as Big Bad Wolf, Kansas and GG Valentine, Alfano has been champion numerous times at the Devon Horse Show, Capital Challenge, Pennsylvania National, Washington International and National Horse Show. She was named the World Champion Hunter Rider in 1996 and 1997. She has also lent her training skills to help students achieve success at the best horse shows in the nation.
