HorseCity.com TV Joins the Celebration for John Wayne's 100th Birthday

(AUGUSTA, Ga.) - In honor of John Wayne's 100th birthday, "HorseCity.com TV" has teamed with Circle Y Saddles to present a 30-minute special about the unique saddle that has become as much of an icon for cowboy heritage as John Wayne himself. The special edition of "HorseCity.com TV" will air May 30 at 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on RFD-TV.

The craftsmen at Circle Y Saddles were selected exclusively by Wayne Enterprises to create the John Wayne 100th Anniversary Collector's Edition Saddle. The saddle is inspired by the saddle John Wayne used throughout his cowboy career, both on and off screen, which is now on display in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

"It is truly an honor to the people of Circle Y to have been chosen by Wayne Enterprises for this special project," said Steve Tucker, president of Circle Y Saddles. "Our dedicated teams of designers and craftsmen have worked diligently to faithfully replicate the original in this Collector's Edition Saddle."

After months of planning and preparation, Circle Y Saddles wanted to tell the amazing story of this once-in-a-lifetime collector saddle. They chose the production team at HorseCity.com to bring the story to life. The production team filmed various aspects of the production of

the saddle and interviewed members of Circle Y and John Wayne's son Patrick, who starred with his father in many movies, to capture the entire essence of the project. "He did like his saddle, and I think he would really appreciate this honor that's being paid to him," said Patrick Wayne.

"When Circle Y approached us for this project, we did not have to think twice," said Ryan Dohrn, general manager of HorseCity.com. "The story of their dedication to create a saddle truly fit for 'The Duke' himself was not only a unique opportunity, but something every horse person could relate to. The HorseCity.com production team was able to present the beauty and legacy of this saddle as vividly as Circle Y does with its recreation."

The special edition of "HorseCity.com TV" will highlight the entire story of the John Wayne 100th Anniversary Collector's Edition Saddle. Everything from the handcrafted tooling to the history that made the saddle the icon it is today will be covered. Not only will viewers be given an up-close look at the intricate piece of craftsmanship, but they will also be celebrating John Wayne's 100th birthday. The actor was born on May 26, 1907.

Circle Y Saddles, located in the heart of cowboy country in Yoakum, Texas, has long been recognized as a premier saddle maker. "As America's Leading Saddle Brand, we feel it is a natural partnership between Wayne Enterprises and Circle Y," said Mark Jemelka, VP-General

Manager of Circle Y. "John Wayne was, and still is, a leading film star."
