JT Farm's Ellen Toon and Invincible Are Champions at Week 11 of WEF

Wellington, FL - March 24, 2009 - JT Farm had another championship week at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). It was the 11th week of the circuit, and Ellen Toon of South Salem, NY, captured another championship in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters. JT Farm is led by trainer Jimmy Toon and is based in South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL.

Ellen Toon and her 9-year-old Bayerisches Warmblood gelding Invincible, who were last year's WEF Circuit Champions, added to their championship tally again. They won two classes, including the stake class, and picked up two fourths and a sixth in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunter division. Toon and Attache, the 2006 WEF Circuit Champions, were solid in the same division during week ten, winning a third, two fifths, and two sixths.

Jimmy Toon noted, "Invincible went really well this week and was consistent through all four classes. He jumped spectacular and in great form."

Taylor Kain of Lake Worth, FL, rode JT Farm's Charlie Brown to the win in the ASPCA Maclay class and third place in the Pessoa/USEF Medal class. During week 10, Kain rode Charlie Brown and was seventh in the USEF Medal. On Spock, she finished fourth in the WIHS Equitation Classic.

Toon imported Charlie Brown, a six-year-old gelding, just last year and was very impressed with his performances during this winter circuit. "We were thrilled with Charlie Brown and Taylor," he said. "You would think the horse had been doing the equitation for years with the way he went around. Taylor rode very well."

On Tallyman, her top pony jumper, Brianne Link of East Islip, NY, placed in every class over the past two weeks. This week, she was fourth, fourth, and sixth, and last week she placed second, fourth, and seventh in the competitive Pony Jumper division.

With her horse Silas V, Link placed fourth and seventh in Week 11 in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters. She was fifth and seventh last week. Link was also sixth in the THIS Children's Medal class. Jimmy Toon took up the ride on Silas V last week and placed first and fifth in the Non-Thoroughbred 3'3" Hunters.

Up in North Salem, NY, Dudley MacFarlane competed at the Old Salem Farm Winter Horse Show. She and her six-year-old home-bred mare, All the Stars, competed for the first time in the Amateur-Owner Hunters and brought home consistent ribbons.

For the finest hunter, equitation, and jumper instruction in the South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL, areas, look no further than JT Farm.
