JT Farm Records Success at Old Salem Winter Horse Show and Winter Equestrian Festival

North Salem, NY - March 10, 2009 - JT Farm continued their competition success last week at two venues. JT Farm is led by trainer Jimmy Toon and has bases in South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL. Dudley MacFarlane of Darien, CT, had two horses win tricolor ribbons at the Old Salem Farm Horse Show in North Salem, NY. Other students and horses did well at the ninth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF).

MacFarlane piloted her top horse Accolade to the reserve championship in the Amateur-Owner Hunters. Accolade, who MacFarlane calls her "Steady Eddie," has been a solid performer this year with multiple championships.

All the Stars, owned by MacFarlane and ridden by Loretta Mayer, was the champion in the First Year Green Hunters. This was her second championship in just her second horse show in that division. "She was simply amazing. She is quickly learning the ropes," MacFarlane said. "I'm really looking forward to it. She's so much fun to ride and is really quiet. If she or the rider make a mistake, she simply shakes it off and tries even harder. She jumps amazingly and is a lovely mover too."

MacFarlane plans to debut All the Stars in the Amateur-Owner Hunter division at the next Old Salem Farm Horse Show on March 18-22.

At WEF, JT Farm's equitation horses continued to help their riders bring home top prizes. Taylor Kain of Lake Worth, FL, rode Spock to second place in the ASPCA Maclay and fourth in the USEF Medal class. On JT Farm's Cayero, she was seventh in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search class.

Ellen Toon and Invincible brought home good ribbons in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters. They were second in the handy hunter class and placed fourth, fourth, and sixth in the remaining classes.

Brianne Link of East Islip, NY, was successful with three different mounts this past week. She rode Tallyman to third place in the Pony Jumper Time First Jump-off class and JT Farm's Black Diamond to eighth place in the Low Children's Jumpers. She and Silas V picked up two fourth place ribbons in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters, while Jimmy Toon rode the gelding to second, third, fourth, and fifth places in the Non-Thoroughbred 3'3" Hunter division.

JT Farm will compete next at the tenth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival on March 11-15, 2009.

For the finest hunter, equitation, and jumper instruction in the South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL, areas, look no further than JT Farm. At JT Farm, riders of all levels are welcome and are afforded the very best training by a staff of experienced, caring professionals who are committed to excellence in the show ring in equitation, hunters and jumpers.
