JT Farms Brings Home Three Tricolor Ribbons at Fourth Week of CN Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL - February 11, 2008 - This past week, JT Farm competed at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Florida. The riders won three tricolor ribbons this week at the highly competitive winter horse show circuit.

Trainer Jimmy Toon was in the winner's circle this week after he and Triple X, owned by JT Farm, won the championship in the First Year Green Working Hunters. Triple X jumped to a first and two third place ribbons in the division.

Triple X is a seven-year-old Oldenburg gelding that Toon imported three years ago. The horse was very green, and Toon has worked with him to bring him up to the level of winning in a very competitive professional division at WEF. After a few weeks of competing in the Pre-Green division, Toon made the decision to move Triple X up to the 3'6" height in the First Year Green Hunters.

Triple X also competed in the adult hunters with Lyn Pederson. Pederson and Quentin received top ribbons of second place and sixth place in the Adult Amateur 3'3" Hunters. Toon and The Boss, who is owned by Katie Galbraith, received second, fourth, and sixth place ribbons in the Non-Thoroughbred Hunters.

Another championship for JT Farm came from Ellen Toon and her horse Invincible. They won the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunter division championship after they were first, first, second, and fourth over fences. It was Invincible's third tricolor ribbon in three weeks of showing. On her other top horse In Disguise, Toon finished first, second, third, and fourth in the division.

Brianne Link and her pony Asgard Mercury won the reserve championship in the Medium Children's/Pony Hunters. They picked up first and third place ribbons. Link and her pony were also fourth and seventh in the Equitation 11 & Under division. On her other pony Foxcroft Veronsky, Link finished fourth and eighth in the Large Children's/Pony Hunter division.

Carolyn Lichtenberg and I-Toon, owned by JT Farm, had a good week in the equitation. They scored a 90 in the WIHS Hunter phase. On her jumper Kendy, Lichtenberg was fourth in the $1,000 Children's 14-17 Jumper Time First Jump-off class and eighth in the Time First Round class.

Cayero, a top equitation horse owned by JT Farm and imported just two months ago, was ridden by Sophie Benjamin, who trains with Stacia Madden. They won the ASPCA Maclay class. They scored a 91 and finished third in the WIHS Hunter Phase. They were eighth in the jumper phase and were fourth overall.

For the second time this year, JT Farm's Avalon and Alexandra Arute won the Large Junior 16-17 Handy Hunter class. This week, they won the handy class and added a third and sixth to their winnings.

Joan Ciampi and Alexia, a WEF Circuit Champion winner, competed in two divisions. They finished fourth in the Low Adult Hunters and were second, fourth, and eighth in the Low Hunter 2'6" division.

At JT Farm, led by trainer Jimmy Toon of South Salem, NY, riders of all levels are welcome and are afforded the very best training by a staff of experienced, caring professionals who are committed to excellence in the show ring in equitation, hunters and jumpers.
