WELINGTON, Fla. Mar. 30--The Zimmerman Advertising $30,000 Invitational Junior Hunter Classic was won Sunday by Alise Oken and Take Away at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival.
They won the first place purse with a high score of 174. Oken, 16, of Charlotte, N.C. and her 14-year-old bay gelding posted a score of 85 in the first trip and a high score of 89 in the second. The pair train with Robby Hunt of Monroe, N.C.
"I was a little worried because we went at the end of the day," Alise said, "but my horse was perfect it didn't phase him at all. I liked the course because it was really flowing with bending lines. I was really happy to qualify and glad to show in the International ring because it is such a nice ring."
