Karen Healey Stables Nets Top Results at Oaks Blenheim Spring Classic II Horse Show

San Juan Capistrano, CA - April 9, 2008 - Karen Healey Stables continued their success at the Oaks Blenheim Spring Classic horse show series. They competed on April 2-6 and brought home numerous blue ribbons in the equitation and jumper divisions.

Assistant trainer Kasey Ament finished ninth in the $35,000 Spring Classic II Grand Prix on Acrobat, owned by Karen Healey. There were 39 entries in the grand prix. Ament and Acrobat also won a 1.45m Jumper class.

Navona Gallegos of Santa Fe, NM, had a great week in the equitation. She won the ASPCA Maclay class, the USEF Junior Medal, and the CPHA Foundation Medal. She finished third in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search class. She piloted Rembrandt VH Paradijs to eighth place in the Low Junior Jumper Classic.

The winner of the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search class was Shelby Wakeman of Westlake Village, CA. Wakeman also took home the blue ribbon in both phases for the overall win in the WIHS Equitation class, and she was second in the Equitation 16-17 over fences class. On her new ride Pandoer, she had just four faults in the $5,000 1.45m Classic.

Elizabeth Dickinson, a resident of Los Angeles, won the WCE Medal, the CPHA Adult Medal, and the USEF Adult Medal on her horse The Graduate. Dickinson's daughter Holly won the Equitation 14 and Under over fences class. In a class of more than 45 entries, Holly Dickinson finished fourth in the CPHA Foundation.

La Canada, CA, resident Michelle Morris was second in the WIHS Jumper phase, which gave her third place overall in the class. She finished fourth in the ASPCA Maclay class on El Campeon's Ottograaf.

Jocelyn Neff of Newport Beach, CA, finished second in the USEF Junior Medal. In the Equitation 15-17, Neff was third over fences. She piloted Golden Flip to seventh place in the Low Junior Jumper Classic.

At the Spring Gathering Horse Show in Katy, TX, Tammy Chipko of Westlake Village, CA, had a fantastic week of showing. She and All That, her top amateur hunter, were second in the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. She finished behind the top rated hunter rider in the country, Peter Pletcher.

Chipko and Lottie won the championship in the High Amateur-Owner Jumpers and they took second place in the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. On Lucky Star, she finished second in the Level 7 Jumper Classic and was sixth in the Welcome Stake.

Karen Healey Stables will show next at the Oaks Blenheim Spring Classic III Horse Show on April 9-13, 2008.
