Karen Healey Stables Starts Oaks Blenheim June Classic Horse Show with Success

San Juan Capistrano, CA – June 14, 2006 – Karen Healey Stables began the first week of the Oaks Blenheim June Classic Horse Show on June 7-11 with success in the equitation and jumper arenas.
Karen Healey Stables students dominated the Equitation 15-17 division. Shelby Wakeman of Westlake, CA, won the under saddle portion and finished second in the over fences class. Tiffani Weeda of San Juan Capistrano picked up the blue ribbon in the over fences class, while Hannah Selleck of Thousand Oaks, CA, was third in the under saddle and fourth over fences.
Selleck also finished second in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Class, while Wakeman was third. On her junior jumper Bauer, Selleck was fifth in the Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. Her success thus far this year has led to her position on the Young Rider JY team.
Alex Conforti of La Cañada, CA, was second in the WCE Junior/Amateur class. Assistant trainer and rider Kasey Ament piloted Uniek to seventh place in the 1.45m Open Jumper Classic.
Karen Healey Stables has two new students on their team. Tina Dilandri of La Jolla, CA, and Casa Blanca were third in the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic in their first competition in the division. Dilandri also finished second in the USEF Medal. In the Children’s Jumper Classic, Victoria Eseke of Santa Barbara, CA, finished sixth with Sjapoo.
Zoe Kornberg of Portola Valley, CA, who also trains with Gwen Gordon, is currently working with Karen Healey at the Oaks June Classic Horse Show series. She finished seventh in the Modified Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic on Ethos, and she was third in the CPHA Junior Medal.
Karen Healey Stables will continue to show at the beautiful Oaks Blenheim June Classic Horse Show on June 14-18, 2006.
