Lexington, KY - June 7, 2007 - Get ready for the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows, which will be held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The Kentucky Summer Horse Show will run from August 1-5, 2007, and the Kentucky Summer Classic will follow from August 8-12, 2007.
The two-week series will host two $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix events, as well as the $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix and the $40,000 Kentucky Classic Grand Prix, which is a member event of the AGA Grand Prix Series. The $25,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix events are part of the Hagyard Challenge Series, which features $170,000 in prize money and runs throughout the summer at the horse park. The Kentucky Summer Horse Shows are also qualifying events for the Washington International Horse Show Championships and 2007 North American League finals.
The picturesque Kentucky Horse Park offers ample stabling, showing and riding space for exhibitors, and the facility is the future site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Encompassed by scenic horse farms and rolling hills, competitors enjoy riding across the vast cross country fields and showing in the impressive Johnson Grand Prix Arena. Located near downtown Lexington, the area provides convenient dining and shopping for horse show patrons. What:
Two of the nation's premier equestrian competitions, featuring four grand prix classes, one of which is sanctioned by the American Grand Prix Association. Both shows are member events of the Washington International Horse Show Championships and the 2007 North American League finals.
The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows proudly host the Haygard Challenge Jumper Series, which offers $170,000 in prize money. This series features seven grand prix events throughout the summer at the Kentucky Horse Park and is made possible by the sponsorship of the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Admission:
Admission is free to the public. The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 parking fee.
Parking:
The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 daily parking fee. Horse Show Exhibitors may purchase a weekly parking pass at the main Horse Park entrance for $5.00.
VIP Table Seating:
Front row reserved tables of eight will be available each week in the Mesker Pavilion at the Johnson Ring at a price of $500 per week and will entitle guests to VIP seating for the $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 4th and the $40,000 Kentucky Classic Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 11th. Wristbands and VIP parking passes will be available in the Show Office.

All outdoor competition arenas and schooling areas consist of a limesand base and mortar sand cushion. The Indoor Arena consists of sand and loam. The dimensions of the competition areas are as follows:
