Kyle Hannan and Wright On TC Win 2008 Snaffle Bit Futurity Novice Non Pro Bridle Championship

Kyle Hannan earned the Novice Non Pro Bridle Championship at the 2008 National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity on Wright On TC with a score of 286 – nine points higher than the closest competition.

“I’m pretty excited about it. It’s a really big accomplishment,” said Hannan after the awards ceremony. “I was just hoping to be in the money – this is way better.”

The 20-year-old Equine Business Management student purchased Wright On TC from Terry Christiansen two years ago. Although this is his first win at the Snaffle Bit Futurity, and only his second time to show here, Hannan and Wright On TC, by Lenas Wright On out of Sugari Colonel, have won other impressive titles. They were the 2006 Reserve National Champions in the Youth Bridle.

The Championship came with a check for $2,475, a Gist Silversmiths Champion Buckle from Jo & Tish Wilhite, a Cinch monogrammed vest from Wayne Hodges 4-Star Trailers/Outlaw Conversions, and Platinum Performance.

The Novice Non Pro Bridle Reserve Championship ended in a tie between Marc Gilkerson on Colonel Brooksinic, and Pam Bailey on Tsunami Lena. Both had identical total scores of 278. Colonel Brooksinic is by Plain Brooksinic and out of Pretty Thorn Lena, while Tsunami Lena is by Lenas Sugar Daddy and out of Dazzle Em Dandy. Pam and Marc both earned $1,732, Cinch monogrammed vests from Wayne Hodge’s 4-Star Trailers/Outlaw Conversions, and Platinum Performance.

The Snaffle Bit Futurity runs through October 5 at the Reno Livestock Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
