Wellington FL - September 26, 2006 - LaPeche Café and Catering, owned and managed by Tim Boulton, will be the Food Sponsor for this year’s Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™. Boulton is on the Board of Governors for the Equestrian Aid Foundation (EAF), which is the beneficiary of the event. The eighth annual Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ will be held at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club on the Grand Prix Field at 2:00 p.m. on January 6, 2007.
LaPeche Café, located on the Tower Ring Veranda, opened two years ago as a quick stop where exhibitors at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) could buy fresh meals for breakfast and lunch while watching competition in the Tower Ring. "I started LaPeche because I ride and show horses myself, and I felt the need for a place where competitors could get a variety of healthy meals," Boulton said.
" We are adding LaPeche to Go on the corner of Pierson and Southshore because Wellington residence have very few good food options," he added. The gourmet carry out café and catering will offer an array of healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. "We will create unique menu daily. I like to put a spin on the chicken salad," he laughed.
Boulton, 26, was raised in Pennsylvania and started riding when he was 14. His roots were in eventing, polo and dressage, but he now competes primarily in the Amateur- Owner Hunter division. He trains with Bill Maroney and Shachine Belle.
Boulton is an assistant to Gene Mische, President and Founder of Stadium Jumping, Inc. "It is important for all equestrians to join in the efforts of EAF," Boulton said. "The Equestrian Triathlon is a creative way for athletes to get involved in helping one another."
The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ raises big bucks and big fun for charity. Equestrian Aid is a foundation dedicated to helping all equestrians with catastrophic illness in their time of need. If you are interested in joining the cause, please call the EAF offices at 1-800-792-6068.
We want to thank all our sponsors, participants, volunteers and organizers for their outstanding efforts. Without their help and funding, the Equestrian Aid Foundation would not have the proceeds from this wonderful event.
