Lingh Has Arrived at Flyinge---the Swedish State Stud

Wellington, FL - For the 2009 breeding season, Flyinge, the Swedish National Stud, will include the KWPN stallion Lingh (Flemmingh - Columbus - Uppercut xx) in its breeding program. Lingh has already arrived in Flyinge, a town in Southern Sweden just 48 miles from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Throughout his performance career, Lingh has been one of the highest FEI-ranked dressage stallions in the world. He has had exceptional successes and numerous placings in international Grand Prix with Edward Gal and Karin Offield. The best-known are the second place finishes of Lingh and Gal in the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas in 2005, and in Düsseldorf in 2004. Lingh received the top score of 10 for his phenomenal piaffe, passage and the transitions.

In 2005, Lingh was approved by the KWPN studbook in Holland with a dressage index of 150.46 percent. He is described as an honest and trustworthy stallion that is easy to work with. Lingh is a modern dressage stallion with outstanding conformation. He has a very good temperament and loves to work; he also learns very easily. Lingh comes from the mareline 711, which has produced seven approved stallions. Lingh's offspring are very elegant, light and athletic.

Karin Offield, an international Grand Prix rider and Lingh's owner since 2006, tells about the first time she met this spectacular stallion:

"The first time I saw Lingh was in Las Vegas in 2005 during the World Cup Final when Edward Gal was competing with him. Wow! Once the possibility appeared that he could be for sale, Edward contacted me to see if I would be interested. The next day I flew to Holland to try him and then, days later, he was mine!"

In 2009, Karin Offield chose Flyinge to represent Lingh for breeding in Europe because of its great reputation as a facility worldwide.

"I was visiting here in October during the Flyinge International Dressage Show CDI and I could see for myself the beautiful accommodations, as well as the knowledgeable staff. To me it is very important that Lingh gets the best possible exercise and care, and with Flyinge, it felt like the right choice. I am looking forward to the Swedish offspring of Lingh," says Offield.

She continues about both his European and North American offspring, "Lingh should produce lovely dressage horses, as well as world-class hunters. He has the type, movement and athletic ability that hunter judges like to see. With his strong Thoroughbred influence, Lingh's way of going is well balanced and elegant. I have experience with many top hunters and I know that there is something special here."

"Lingh is such a noble and light stallion that he should be an excellent combination with most types of mares," adds Karl-Henrik Heimdahl, the new Breeding Manager of Flyinge.

In the United States Lingh's frozen semen is available from Hassler Dressage. Lingh will also be available throughout the world.
