Competitors Back in Their Saddles at Littlewood Farm After EHV

RV Sales of Broward Sponsors $25,000 Littlewood Grand Prix on Sunday

Wellington, FL – January 10, 2007 – Competitors will be back in their saddles at Littlewood Farm this weekend after a forced hiatus due to the equine herpes virus, and Gigi Stetler and RV Sales of Broward are celebrating the return to the show ring by sponsoring the $25,000 grand prix on Sunday, January 14, 2007.

“I am so very excited that I’m going to be part of the first show,” Stetler said. “Jenny Oz Leroy and Tavern on the Green are helping me put together a nice lunch, and I am welcoming everybody. I am sure everyone is a little stir crazy and ready to get back into the ring, and while people might be a little nervous, it will be a great show!”

Because of the virus outbreak, three Littlewood horse shows were cancelled: Christmas “A,” Christmas “B” and New Years. The schedule set to run this weekend for the A-T Children's Project Benefit Show is a revised version of the original, and the RV Sales of Broward grand prix is set to begin at 1 p.m.

“We are excited to get started, and we are expecting a better-than-anticipated turnout for the weekend,” explained David Burton, Littlewood Farm manager and course designer. “The grounds are safe and we’re going to keep it that way by extending similar methods of prevention like foot baths throughout the weekend.” He also asked competitors to familiarize themselves and their grooms with the show ground requirements, which are posted online at http://www.littlewood.com and include regulations for entering the show grounds.

RV Sales of Broward opened its doors in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in 1986 and has a seasonal location in Palm Beach. As a horseperson and avid competitor, Stetler understands the need for a place to call home while traveling. She has developed her business on the show circuit to cater exclusively to an equestrian clientele and to meet her clients’ needs for affordable luxury housing. In addition to providing world class customer service, RV Sales of Broward regularly sponsors classes at some of the top shows in the country, including the Winter Equestrian Festival, the Hampton Classic and the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic.

The A-T Children’s Project is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate biomedical research projects, scientific conferences and a clinical center aimed at finding a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia, a lethal genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, cancer and immune system problems.
