(Pequannock, NJ – Jan. 17, 2006) – They might be small in stature, but there is a lot to love about miniature horses, especially LTD's Red Cloud and Magic Man's Grand Slam. Both under 34" tall, these colorful champion minis are now available as a two-piece gift set in Breyer® Animal Creations® 2006 line of Traditional models.
Owned by Lisa Davis of LTD Quarter and Miniature Horses in Greenridge, MO, LTD's Red Cloud and Magic Man's Grand Slam represent the finest LTD stock. Davis specializes in loud frame overo pintos and was the American Miniature Horse Registry’s 2004 Breeder of the Year.
A 1995 stallion, LTD’s Red Cloud is a dazzling red dun with the rare Medicine Hat frame overo pattern. For four consecutive years, he was the Pinto Horse Association of America’s Miniature Horse of the Year for overo color. In addition, he’s secured numerous national championships and sired several more multiple champions at the national level. Now one of Davis’ senior sires, LTD’s Red Cloud has come a long way from the sickly foal that was raised in her basement and bottle fed by her daughter.
Magic Man’s Grand Slam is a black roan Medicine Hat overo stallion. Not only was he 2004 AMHR Miniature Performance Horse of the Year, he is a 13-time national champion in Halter/Performance/Color. Talented at pleasure driving, Magic Man’s Grand Slam has also won national tricolors in Open Hunter and Amateur Versatility.
There is no doubt that LTD minis are horses of a different color – and size!
