Martha Jolicoeur Takes Championship at Littlewood Fences Horse Show After Two-Year Hiatus

Wellington, FL - November 13, 2007 - Martha Jolicoeur, an established real estate agent in the Wellington, FL, community, returned to the show ring this past weekend after two years away from competing. Jolicoeur is married to renowned course designer Pierre Jolicoeur, and she is mother to 15-year-old junior rider Isabel.

As a junior and amateur rider, Jolicoeur was a fierce competitor in the show ring, showing nationally and internationally at some of the most prestigious horse shows in the world. After moving to Wellington in August of 2005, she elected to hand the reins over to her daughter and focus on her real estate business. This past weekend, however, she put her field boots back on and walked to the in-gate.

"I was speaking to another real estate agent, Rodolpho Maya, a few weeks ago," commented Jolicoeur. "He asked me why I didn't show anymore. I said, 'If I had a nice adult hunter that could jump around at 3'3'', I would show it.' Rodolpho said, 'I have a horse for you!' So I agreed to ride his mare Madaline and show at Littlewood in the Adult Amateur Hunters," she laughed. "The mare is only seven, and she is really cute. We won first, third, and two sixths over fences, and we won the hack! We were champion!"

"The mare was so sweet," she added. "Everything I told her to do, she would do it correctly and remember it. She was so honest and kind. It was a lot of fun." Jolicoeur currently balances her time between her real estate and supporting her daughter Isabel from the sidelines. "I'm pretty passionate about real estate," she said. "My business can be time consuming, so I enjoy getting back in the saddle whenever I have the opportunity."
